The problem with problems

Problems. It’s fair to say they aren’t a popular issue to confront. Most of us love it when we have none. Life is good; the outlook is rosy. All is right with the world.
 
But when problems come along they suck the joy out of us. And if your problem is that your business is not making money it can be downright miserable – especially if other people are depending on you for their livelihoods.
 
When confronted with the problem of a down-turn in revenue, the usual response is to attempt to formulate a strategy to stop the slide, get back on an even keel and then hopefully begin to grow again. Some may even take heart in the words of Norman Vincent Peale who said, "Every problem has in it the seeds of its own solution. If you don’t have any problems, you don’t get any seeds.”
 
While we wholeheartedly agree that it is better to face a problem with a positive attitude - and develop a strategy to move forward - at Growth Partners we believe that the first step to solving problems is to gain a thorough understanding of what’s causing the loss of revenue in the first place.
 
The need for clarity is paramount.
